I am not talking about lodges but camping spots away from the beaten hordes. Also I have taken friends who are less into mountain hiking into the Pemi wildnerness area. Where I know several great spots. If you want to trade spots I have gps coordinates. I am looking for good spots near Mount Washington or other locations.

This isn't exactly like asking a stranger for one of his kidneys, but it's pretty close ;). People generally don't give away their favorite secret spots online.

Ummmm. Ah, nope. No worse feeling than to arrive at a pre-planned spot (that NOBODY but you knows about) in the middle of the night and someone's in it.

While we are at it I have a secret spot for smallmouth bass on the Connecticut River...Ok, Ok I will tell you where it is...between New Hampshire and Vermont. ;)

Last time I heard, the Connecticut River was entirely in New Hampshire. Vermont starts at the western edge of the river.

To split hairs even further the state line is the low water mark on the western side of the river. For fishing purposes either a resident VT or NH lisence is good on the river up to the first "highway" bridge. Nonresident is a different matter.

Methinks most people that a great private camoing place or two, will do their best to keep it that way. No offense. Putting it online invites it no longer being secret or sacred,,just MHO. We should share but this is different. :)
