White Ledge via White Ledge Trail (south leg)
Date of Hike: Monday, April 21, 2008
Trail Conditions: Dry ground, mud, Spring snow
Special Equipment Required: None
Comments:
The area in front of the gate is all melted out now - though beware, there is some broken glass (beer bottle) near the gate.
From gate to trailhead, the snow is deep in a few places, but snowshoes are unnecessary.
From trailhead to second brook crossing, trail alternates between monorail enhanced snow and wet ground.
Brook crossings a little tricky, but I was still able to rock hop while staying dry.
From above second brook crossing to the high point, the trail is 98% bare and dry!
A few minor blowdowns, nothing too bad.
