Date of Hike: 1/23/08
Trail Conditions: Lots of new snow and drifts, from about 4" at base of ASRC to 8-12" and huge drifts higher up. Good crust base below the new snow if you can find it. I expect my tracks are mostly covered up already.
Special Equipment Required: Wind protection for above treeline on Whiteface and Esther ridge, snowshoes (no crampons needed).
Comments: Esther herdpath is a little difficult to follow near the beginning. Most blowdown is covered now.
