The harvest of peaks this winter has been not so good for me this year. Only 4 new peaks were added to my list 46W and 2 in Vermont.

Due to an accident in January, I had headaches and dizziness for 45 days and no pills could relieve my pain. Last Sunday, the headaches had stopped and I'm almost completely back to normal now.
So a week later, we headed to the Adirondack to hiked Whiteface and Esther. Two peaks that we wanted to do last year, but that day the temperature was around -150F/-100C.
We begin at the Athmospheric Center and we immediately put our snowshoes, there is enough snow on the ground and the soft texture and coarse salt is better with snowshoes.
At the road, I decided to take it, to do a loop and come back from the summit by the path. The wind was so strong, that Annie asked me to stay close to her when we climb from the building near the summit parking lot to the summit. Because few years ago, the wind push her and she had not touched the ground for a good distance. At the summit, we take a short break for dinner and of course protected from the wind. We start our way back along the path. We're heading toward the intersection of Esther. I go as quickly to the summit. Lucky that we had done Whiteface first, when I reach Esther's summit, the summit of Whiteface was covered with clouds.

Finally we are, like the bears out of our den and happy to be on the trails.
