Conditions: To borrow a term from the skier's vernacular..."The snow was bullet proof!" Interesting conditions up on the upper ledges as usual...made even more interesting by a recent coating freezing rain. Not for the faint of heart.

Special Equipment Req: Snowshoes & crampons and not much else

Comments: Another beautiful warmish day in the Whites. VFTT were at least 40-50 miles. Lots of hearty souls hiking the Blueberry today. Ran into a couple of groups, one from a Boston Club and the other with the AMC. Everyone in good spirits and enjoying this last day of the January thaw.

Lots of hikers hurrying out to see Jacksonville at New England tonight...GO PATS!
