Up Blueberry Ledge trail, along Rollins, over P'way summit loop and down Wonalancet Range trail.
Lower portion of blueberry ledge trail frequently achieved stream status. Blueberry ledge damp in spots but not slippery. Upper ledges not quite dry, but almost (south-facing and the morning was sunny). More of the same (damp to very wet) on the remaining trails.
Despite all the water, mud pits were few and mostly avoidable. No significant blowdowns, unbridged streams, or other obstacles, except some slippery moss-covered rocks.
suggested gear: raincoat. Choice of waterproof boots or a philosophical attitude toward wet feet.
Remarks: A good day for mushrooms - revised my theory on the formation process of "fairy bathtubs"
I think I passed Rocket21 in the early afternoon as he headed down from Whiteface's summit to the upper Whiteface ledges while I was on my way up - that red baseball cap twigged a memory but I didn't place it. Only a handful of other groups on the trail, and total solitude all the way from Passaconaway's summit back to the trailhead.
