About 4" of new powder snow. Broke trail with the help of another couple. Thanks Dave and Kathy. Trail up Blueberry firm. Barebooted, switched to spikes, and then crampons for the steep ledges. Ice ax came in helpful at several locations. Broke trail across Rollins in soft snow and drifts with snowshoes and left them on the rest of the hike. Dicey's mill was not broken when I descended. At the stream crossing several people had broken the trail in and turned back. Dave and Kathy went on to Passaconaway. So the trail is broken around the whole loop. Poles, crampons, snowshoes, and ice ax, equipment for the day. One crawl under blowdown on Blueberry Ledges Trail. The stream crossing was no problem. Walk across the log.
