Trail Conditions: Zealand trail - well used and very muddy. Streams were swollen but crossings remained trivial.

Ethan Pond - Other than the wet conditions the trail was ideal

Bushwhack - Followed Ethan Pond trail to approximately the midpoint between the Zeacliff trail and Thoreau falls and commenced bushwhack. Thick and steep. I wouldn't recommend this route.

Comments: I looked at detailed weather conditions and anticipated a window of rain free hiking on Saturday morning. Overcast skies and only got soaked to the bone from the wet spruce whacking.

My 2nd trip to the Whitewall summit and spent about 2 hours on the clifftop basking into Carrigan Notch, Bond and the Willey range. Watched a moose in Shoal pond. My first ascent was from a logging road off the A-Z trail. Longer in distance but definitely a preferred route.
