Trails: Wild River Trail, Black Angel Trail, Carter Moriah Trail
Out and back 16.2 miles
Conditions:
Wild River Trail sustained many wash outs in Irene. The largest being a large undermining of the river's edge, a small herd path traverses the cut out.
Wild River Crossing low and rock hoppable.
Black Angel Trail in excellent shape!
Hard to stay long on the summit of Carter Dome as its become a mass latrine and the stench and flies were unbearable.
Nice long dip in the river at the end of an excellent day in the woods! First time on Carter Dome for Pemi Aussie Puppy and her sister , Nyx; as well as a first Four K for Tracey - way to Rock it, Girlfriend!
