19 Mile Brook Trail is wet! After the first 2 miles or so the trail turns into a stream a good part of the way. Need to step cautiously.
Raingear & poles are necessary. I brought microspikes and crampons but not needed.
I started at 7am and the 1st hour was overcast but dry. Then it started to rain lightly, then moderately. By the the time I got to intersection for acending to Wildcat A, barely raining but no views at all.Ten minutes later it was snowing steadilyand dark. Continued to snow as I hiked to A. Didn't see anyone the whole hike. I was hiking alone and unfamiliar with the trail, so decided it was safer to turn back at that point. So close! This was going to be 48th but there is always another day.
