Trail Conditions: A bit wet around Lost Pond, mostly dry with a couple of small wet areas up above 3,000 feet on Wildcat Ridge Trail. This is a steep trail (as all books describe). It hits you right away - straight up. Great views come quickly. There are a couple of flat areas, but they don't last long. There are some open ledges and areas where wooden steps have been added. Given the great views this peak is well worth the effort. I started at 9:30 and was back at Pinkhan at 3:00.
Special Equipment Required: Deep woods off and/or bug dope. I wouldn't even call that "special".
Comments: Great day. Pinkham was very busy as the weather was perfect, Wildcat was the road less traveled as I only saw one person on my way up. 21 4,000 ftrs to go.
