Wildcat Mountain Ski Area requests hikers and those skinning up to do so via Stray Cat, Middle Polecat and Upper Polecat trails. Stray Cat wasn't groomed; it was closed to skiers. The other two runs were groomed and not very busy today. Trail to the summit (observation deck) broken out with a few icy spots.
Special equipment needed: snowshoes and goggles.
Beautiful day with very little wind and cold but tolerable temps. Clouds rolled in around noon and it started to snow on the higher summits but the view of the ravines on Mt. Washington are always incredible. Wildcat requires the purchase of a $10 uphill access pass to summit via this route.
