Trail Conditions: Polecat trails recently mowed, very easy to follow, beautiful views, signs of moose etc. Observation tower is closed due to crumbling conditions although fresh lumbar was laying about, unsure if for rebuilding or additional barricades.
Special equipment: Long pants, moisture management gaiters etc if on non-mowed trails. Sunscreen, or layers...highly exposed to weather on ski trails.
Comments: We took this route as night and morning rains no doubt slicken Wildcat Ridge Trail. Did veer off the mowed path once...grass was tall and wet! AT to summit is to the left if looking at Summit buildings from gondola area. Tourists in shorts freezing in high winds!!
