Or is Peak Resorts/Wildcat now looking for a way to charge for their webcam view? ;)

What are the Wildcat / Carter peaks as seen from the Mt W Obs cam??

http://www.mountwashington.org/weather/cam/deck/

For the Observatory Deck cam, looking eastward towards the Carter Range, lefttward, starting from the right, are Carter Dome (near the right edge of the curved part of the deck that sticks out) and Mt. Hight, to its left. Then comes Zeta Pass, and South Carter Mountain. North and left of that, currently obscured by frost, would be Middle Carter if it makes it into the frame.

A little clarification:

The "Ravines" webcam is the one at the top of Wildcat ski area that was attached to a summit building scheduled to be demolished. You can see that building in the left edge of the webcam image. Unfortunately, the current location does not provide a view into the ravines. Word on the street is that when the summit area work finally happens, the camera will find its way to a location that has a view into the ravines.

The "Presidentials" webcam is on the Latitude 44 (formerly Top o' Quad) restaurant at Bretton Woods at the top of the Bethlehem Quad chairlift. That's the one that's currently out of service.

I never knew Peak Finder existed - my new play toy!

I had heard of Peak Finder as an app, but not as a website. Thanks, nartreb!

I learned one thing from it already, something which had puzzled me. The common lore here is that from Talcott Mountain and from Heublein Tower atop it, one can see Bear Mountain, Connecticut's highest peak. I had wondered, if that were the case, why couldn't you see Mt. Frissell behind it and why not Mt. Everett to the right, a few miles north, if not also Mt. Race? Peakfinder informed me that you see Mt. Everett, the highest of all these, and no other. This makes sense. A bit of a bubble burster for parochial pride, but makes sense given the visual evidence available. Next time I ascend Everett on a clear day, I will look for Talcott and its crowning tower.
