Hopefully someone can speak directly to your question. Last weekend we went to a couple of spots and found them very icy from the constant thawing and freezing. Don't think that the heavy rain that they had this week would have made the conditions any better.
Don't know if the snow is deep enough on Zealand, but if you go, I suggest you use waxless skis. Rain on snow does not make for good waxing conditions (unless you like red and silver klisters...).
If you mean the Lincoln Woods trail(s). I was there on wednesday and it was predominately ice and iced over XC ski tracks. Once it softens later in the day it may not be too bad, but after freezing overnight it is worthless even with ice Klister. Waxless skiis probably won't work well at all unless you get softening surfaces. I never made it in as far as the Wilderness Trail.
I'll have pictures up later on Zealand road and the Rapids of the amonoosuc. Went through Lincoln today.. most of the snow is GONE. Deep woods where the sun seldom goes there are patches of 4" of snow.. Thats about it.
