Date of Hike: July 4, 2008
Trail Conditions: Kedron Flume was dry with a couple Blowdowns - No problem getting around them. A little mud between Willey and Field with a bear track in it. Mt Tom spur no problems. A-Z trail and Avalon where good.
Special Equipment: Bug spray for the summits.
Comments: I have always been told to save this hike for a rainy day. That is a mistake. There are some good views of the Presidential range and into the Pemi Wilderness from the summit of Willey and also from the Summit of Mt. Tom. I didn't meet another hiker until 1/4 mile before the A-Z trail. I even enjoyed walking down through the notch on 302 to get to my car at the Willey House. It was a good day alone on the trails.
