Warning, do not attempt WHP from Rt. 23 for the next few days, (or weeks), as beavers have once again flooded the trail, making passage difficult or perhaps impossible w/o getting wet. There is water flowing across the trail just past the bridge, and it has not frozen over yet. I stepped in 6" of slush, and that was pretty much the end of that attempt. Take Peck Road instead! (See TR).
