Location
White Mountains
Date of Hike: Saturday, July 5th

Trails: Algonquin, Wright Spur, Iroquois Spur, Lake Colden, Avalanche Pass, Van Hovenburg

Trail Conditions: All trails are in great shape. There is minor mud spots over to Iroquois but the bad mud pits have bog bridges over them now. A few scratchy parts of the trail, just watch out for the kamikaze branches that try to take your skin off! When dropping down to Lake Colden there are two spots where there's a herd path that stays to the right side of the trail and goes into the woods, one is at a small mostly dry brook bed crossing above a small cascade and the other is down low where the trail travels through the brook.

Comments:
For all the White Mountain hikers who venture to the wonderful ADK's and want a Franconia Ridge type hike, this is the one. Such awesome friggan views! Report and pics
