Bare boots until just below the hut, the road and trail are super packed down. Past the hut spikes were needed, on top shoes would have been a better option, didn't bring them. Past Zealand the trail goes back to fluffy snow with a few boot tracks. Probably a foot of powder over the old tracks. I wonder if its broken out from the twins go Bonds?.
