    Thanks Mark! It really meant a lot to all of us! Tough one to jump back in on, though! On another note: would love to get out there with you and Tim and Co. I'm sort of focused on my list now, but if you're heading to any of them I'd love to hook up. This week is tough because of other duties, but available after that. Trying to avoid weekends and hike midweek if possible, but also trying to pick my days so if the best weather day is Saturday so be it. I've got 11 left.

    Thanks for the greenie on the Isolation hike report.

    The wind doesn't follow us around, but we do plan and take wind into consideration. Isolation was one of the best hikes for Saturday based on wind conditions. The terrain west (Monroe 5384) and north (Washington 6288) of Isolation is as much as over two-thousand feet higher than the summit of Isolation (4004). That is good for a lot of blocking of a northwest wind! The weather history seems to suggest the Presidentials would have been difficult on Saturday. :eek:

    great hike, guys and gals! I did have the pleasure of cooking up a big pile of food for Bobby and his family and visiting with them for awhile. I had signed up on the Lotsa Helping Hands site for that day so I was planning to be here regardless. :)

    dont know if I'll make it or not. Kids will be with me, Sage is still tired early from the surgery. We'll see how they're feeling. If we go, I may need to sit with them and probably won't get much conversation in.
