Correction Not to be a nag, but for searching and all that jazz, it is actually called the Cohos trail, not the Coos trail. Nash Stream Forest just happens to be my favorite areas in NH. Hope you enjoy!

I share Dave's idea, and MichealJ's. Just did the same trip last week (the up Gorge, down Asquam Ridge one). Beaver Brook in the winter, for sure. Lovely. And sledding down is a blast.

Nauman Tentsite / Marten Had one of those basically run up to me at Nauman one morning. He hung out for about 30 seconds and took off. I knew it was a rare moment. Very cool. Also had a saw whet owl land on a low branch right next to me at the same platform a year later. Another awesome moment...

I will have to ask him about these "afoulnesses." I bet they are a good laugh. I do know that he hiked all of the trails just before publishing the book in order to validate the validity. Concern should be the least of your concerns. Go and enjoy my brotha.
