Nope Good guess, but not quite. Not quite. I'm trying to remember the exact place I took this pic, I think it was just off trail, at a viewpoint just before the summit....the beginning of a ridge.

I'm too lazy to make my own quiz album folder...so try not to see where these pictures are coming from. These locations are going to be water locations, trails, and mtns...most of these will be from the whites, but others elsewhere in NH. Here we go! 1)What trail/mtn is this from? 2) What...

    what animal could this be?

Tough to tell, esp since the wet tracks are prob drying out quickly. My first thought was bobcat, but only because those are the felines that we most usually see in New England. Plus they look fairly small as compared to the size of a mtn lion track. If it IS a mtn lion, that makes me think...

5-12-12 The scenic route to Cardigan

Part two... Now, we were on our way to Rimrock, the South Peak, and Cardigan.... Here we are... Cardigan ahead Heading up the summit cone A look back to where we had been. It was extremely windy on the summit, prob 30-40 mph gusts, so we took refuge a bit below, where we had a great...

5-12-12 The scenic route to Cardigan

I've hiked Cardigan at least 7 or 8 times, so I was looking for a fun way to the summit, that maximized the sub alpine environment. After consulting the map, I came up with a fun trip. We started at the AMC lodge, and set out on the Woodhouse trail. Not a great pic...but I thought I'd...
