Well, being a hiker from Maine (but only speaking for myself), I do not discriminate. I run over everything.;) Petch

Maybe we could introduce more bears into that area who in turn could scrape the bark/paint off of the trees. Then it could be re-blazed. Yes, we may loose a few hikers during the course of this action, but the end may justify the means. We have to think of the trees! Or, rent a portable...

Nice one John. We did something in that area last weekend- going up Kings Ravine, down to Madison hut, up/down Madison, and then up Star Lake tr to Adams, and down Airline. Kings Ravine is a very picturesque area. The Spur trail down to Craig camp and Knights Castle has some fantastic views...
