    Blueberry Mountain Trail from east?

Was just there (again) this past weekend - absolutely terrific ledges as you go up. The actual summit is a bit off the trail - and not marked as a spur - not sure I was aware of that the first time I went!!!!! Views from true summit are also outstanding!!!! No problems with parking in the...

Why are there still summit registers?

I think of flagging as litter!!!! I like canisters and summit signs - someone can avoid the actual summit and sign if they are offended. Plenty of list-less objectives are unmarked if you are offended by summits. Flagging, on the other hand is SELDOM in just one location.

    Coyotes

I've never seen coyote or had any interaction with them when backpacking or hiking - the only wildlife I've seen/heard has been loud birds, especially at sundown :)

    Looking for easy backpacking suggestions

Not sure which Dan Doan 50-hikes book it's from, but, he mentions a nice backpack on the East Pond Trail from the Kanc - there is a beaver pond in there he suggests camping near - (west of the trail - you can see it on the topo) - might be a little bushwhack but it doesn't sound too bad - it's...

    Pokemon Go - hiking?

Um, I haven't downloaded it, but I might.... I might have seen a couple people playing with it in my local park today. Wondering how it would be played on Franconia Ridge on a busy Saturday in July - ?????? Seems like it has potential to get people outside and earning "rewards" for...

    Tunnel Brook Road status

I did this a couple weeks ago: http://www.newenglandtrailconditions.com/nh/viewreport.php?entryid=25985 Road is totally destroyed with slash to prevent erosion (or so I've been told that's the reason). You can kind of find your way among the slash to the old Benton trailhead. There is a...

Any good maps of trails on Ragged Mtn, Andover N.H.?

Hah - your observations are correct - there are no detailed maps (that I've found anyway) of the south side of Ragged showing all the trails (old/new/etc). There are a plethora of logging roads, old trails, ski trails, etc, in there. I've gotten pretty lost in there and then found old trail...

Last Chance for Vermont 3000 footer

I would LOVE to see (OTHER) people trying to drive wind- and solar-powered cars rather than having our local mountaintops blasted off based on questionable economic calculations and tax subsidies
