I think I hiked into a rainbow gathering up near Slippery Brook a few years back - mostly just camping somewhat near the trailhead - I didn't see anyone actually hiking.....

Um, not my cup of tea, um, not super-diverse either :0

I've seen them set up at the end of Hut Road in Stoneham, ME (Great Brook trail.)

Friendly, but kind of a weird transient hippy scene.

I have no issues with groups gathering to manifest world peace. There are certainly people with far less admirable goals on this planet.
