Mount Baker via Easton Glacier - July 2007

I had a great time on Baker and am happy that I went back and got to the summit (after bad weather kept me from the summit in '05). That was some climb! All those crevasses.... so many in all directions!! Hanging out at basecamp with Rainier on the horizon outside the tent door. The Roman...

    caribou valley road

I did that road all the way to the fork last August. I have an audi wagon with adjustable clearance and I had it all the way up. There are some big rocks sticking out in the road after the AT crossing that could be a problem. The road itself is find, but the ruts near the bridges can swallow...

    Lafayette break-ins

My car has a very loud functioning alarm and has those little blinking red lights on the dash and all the doors that indicate it. Obviously useless. I think that if they were prying the door open and someone came along, a simple explanation of having locked their keys in the car would not only...

    Lafayette break-ins

Ok, drove the car out of the garage and was able to get a couple good shots. There is also a dent in the drivers door, near the door handle, where it appears they placed a foot or a knee for leverage?? Just guessing here. To get a good view, click on "full size" near the top right corner of...

    Lafayette break-ins

I have no idea how anyone would know if there were cash in the car. I'm diligent about making sure the car has nothing tempting in sight. I also don't know how to find out if the break ins are random?? I don't know if anyone else was hit that day. The PD did not mention that anyone else had...

    Lafayette break-ins

I am unhappy to report that the breakins are still occuring. :( My car was broken into on Saturday while in the Lafayette day lot on the south side. They used a crow bar or tire iron(s) to pry the drivers door open actually bending the door frame back away from the car until they could reach...

    Huntington Central Gully -- 5/5/07

Glad to hear that your ice hit was not so bad after all!! It was a great day and I, for one, had a blast. Jeff and I formed our own team after we got left in the dust? snow? ice? by swamp who almost ran up the gully... well seemed like he was running anyway.... so I guess that makes us Team CG...

    MA and NH Border Wall

There is a stone wall along the NH/MA border in Dunstable (east of Pepperell), and atleast two large stone markers that I know of. The wall itself is not continuous due to contruction or logging or whatever it is that happens to things in the woods, but there are some good long patches of it left.

traction ? who needs traction ? If you can boot ski, you don't need traction. Such fun! Then again, if you can't handle your 9% beer, some insteps might be helpful on the way down
