Awesome news - congratulations! I'm so glad everything went well.

Funny, I don't remember any special trip reports from 9 months ago...
:D

Congratulations, Mike! Glad to hear the great news. :)

Hoping to hike with Tuco and yourself sometime this year.

Best of health and happiness to you and your family.

As others here have written, it's wonderful when your children become your favorite hiking companions.

And there are some significant milestones:
when they finally climb on their own more peaks than they've been carried to;
when they're big enough to carry their own pack;
when they're big enough to carry YOUR pack!

Mike and Gail,
Congratulations! I was thinking of you all yesterday morning, glad little "crag camp" is doing well, along with the rest of you! Careful, nicknames form quickly!! Again, so happy for you :)

Mike, congratulations to all of you! Happy, happy news.

So how are his fingers? Potential bass player???

Baby update

Hi everyone -
First - the name has been chosen - it is...

Zachary Craig Saporito

Mom and baby are doing great!

PICTURES - BY POPULAR DEMAND!

Much like Sherpa found out this week after his accident I have seen first hand what a great group of people are part of VFTT. I have enjoyed coming home each evening to read all the well wishes from people I have hiked with, PM'd or have never had any contact with at all - you are all great to be associated with...

To answer some of your queries...

Crag, Col and Cairn were all on my mind for a middle name...a more logical mother said no...I think I may accidentally mispell the middle name C-R-A-G!

Wu - I have only been hiking elevators this weekend, and next weekend, and the weekend after and so on....

DoubleBow - I have always had a four-person tent - maybe I knew this was coming all along!

Gear - thanks to marty Zachary got a Polar Fleece suit and a matching onesy from REI today. I guess he already has gear!

Skiguy - 48 with both kids sounds great...with both little sherpas carrying our gear sounds even better!

Frodo - I am expecting a lot of restraining orders for the boys!

Lawn Sale - yes - I have a kid carrier - need to figure out how to use two of them at once!

MichaelJ - Hope it is not too much of a dissapointment, but I do not post those kind of trip reports here!

Mad Townie - perhaps another bass player - his fingers are long and his nails are like razors!

Thank you all again!

Mike, Great news. I am glad that everyone is doing well. Jake and I look forward to seeing you on the trail again soon, maybe with both little ones!

Bob

Congratulations Mike! My advice? Let momma have em til he's 3-4, then you take him, but be sure ta give him back to her when he hits 12-13... :D

Thanks for sharing the pictures and I'm glad to see all seem to be doing good.

There's nothing quite like the joy of exploring the deep Northeastern woods together with your children. Enjoy these special moments. They'll grow so quick.

Congratulations

many many congrats to you and your wife!
and thanks for sharing the pics! :D :)
