A great day in the Northern Presis.

Myself, my son Dominic, Arm, Giggy, Frodo and MEB had a great day going up the Madisson Gulf trail and Adams encountering a little bit of ice on our way. Said hi to ChrisB on top and headed down to Edmonds Col and traversed Jefferson on our way to completing the loop via the Sphinx Trail. It was a beautiful, crisp day with little to no wind. Lots of good laughs were shared and I got a good taste of some rugged hiking and enjoyed spending miles and miles above tree-line.
I can't wait to go back for that Great Gulf-Boot Spur loop.

Was great to meet you and the rest of the Mad Crew in the cool energy field atop Adams! A classic fall day on the hill (if a bit crowded!).

The Airline was a fun hike. Don't know how I missed it all these years.

It was a pleasure hiking with you and dom (and meb, arm & frodo) -

Fun day even though both arm and I were feeling kinda sick with colds, etc.. nothing like chugging dayquil on the ridge!! One funny sight was watching arm chugging the gallon of OJ at each rest stop

Fun day - I was hoping to sleep at madison hut that night, but it wasn't open

Great weather and company sure make for a nice day. This was my first trip into the Great Gulf and it was absolutely amazing...can't wait to go back and hike some more trails in there.

Looked at your pictures before I left for my hike up to Adams and Madison yesterday. I guess I dressed for your day hiking. Boy was I overdressed and carried too many clothes. It was so mild yesterday. The wind kicked in by the time we got to Madison, but it was a tropical wind.There was no need for a jacket let alone all the other clothes I had in my pack.
