A heron was fishing in a bog and took flight as soon as he saw me...

I love dew-laden spider webs in morning light.

Ascending the Tuckerman Ravine Trail, I bumped into Steve Thomas, from Tin Mountain Conservatrion, a great hiker and photographer who is extremely knowledgable about plants. He was heading for the Tuckerman Ravine headwall to enjoy the plant life, etc. We shared the trail and talked about what plants we might see until the Lion Head Trail, then went our seperate ways. Up on the ridge, I was able to pick him out making his way up the ravine floor...

The summit of Mt. Washington was in and out of clouds the whole day.

After trolling around the Alpine Garden for a while, I headed over to the Tuckerman Ravine Trail and descended grudgingly, but there are lots of beautiful flowers there...

Happy Trails

Flowers

Great shots as always! I especially like the waterfall with the ragwort in the foreground. I took the same shot Saturday, but without the flowers. The flowers make that shot. Nice angle and nice eye.
