I was at Magalloway Monday around lunch time and only saw about 6 people other than our group of 4. Nice that you got up there. It's a great place with all the wilderness around. We did the Bobcat Trail up. At the summit two or our group went down the Coot Trail while my uncle and I started a bushwhack down to the rock slide. He had to turn back because he forgot the keys were in his pocket and I continued down to our meeting point. There is some seriously thick vegetation around there and it seemed there was no safe way onto the rocks without coming from below. Seeing a rabbit at my feet and lots of moose and bear sign was nice though.

Probably one of the most underrated and best kept secret hikes in all of NH. I've done it a few times and I think the summit has the best views of any mountain I've hiked in NH. Of course a trip to the Garfield Falls always follows this hike.

Just as a heads up... the rain Tuesday washed out a section of Magalloway Road around mile #2. This will make it harder to get there. You can come in from the Maine side though as long as nothing washed out on that side.
