Adirondack photo quiz

The panoramic view is from Ampersand, but the Number 5 photo is not.

The big signpost in Number 6 is at the Ampersand trail head. When I arrived there to hike, I was pretty sure I had the right place, but there was no sign hanging from that post or anywhere else to confirm it, so I turned on my GPS and got the coordinates of my location off it, which showed that I was near a corner of my ADK map, and the Ampersand trail head was just off the map at that same corner. So that was how I used my GPS on that hike, to confirm I had found the trail head. Well, that and to record my track, and tally the distance covered.

Number 5 still awaits identification. It is a mountain we have probably all climbed, but it is not one of the High Peaks. If I posted a picture of the view from its summit, it would be a dead giveaway.

#5 - My best w.a. guess is along the Mt. Jo trail -- probably the "long" route where the "Rock Garden" trail diverges to the left on ascent. Giveaway might be the orange Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) trail marker disc, along with the "summit" sign (of course).

I knew it as soon as I read the last hint - Mount Jo! It's the junction just below the summit.

Thanks for all the kind feedback. A far as another quiz goes, it might be hard for me to put find enough pictures that aren’t just repeating the same relatively few mountains, but I’ll see what I can do. I have a couple photos in mind already...
