I don't know if any other VFTTers were there, but it was an action-packed weekend in North Adams. Having never been to an ALDHA Gathering, I didn't know what to expect. Totally worth the trip down there, though. No loud partying to speak of, no obnoxious hikers, just a bunch of really informative presentations, great company, and all kinds of hiker excitement.

Here's my write-up of the weekend. There'll be some trip reports from Vermont in the days before and after, as well.
Here's another write-up from a friend of mine who made it as well.

Was anybody else from here at the Gathering as well?
Cheers,
Ryan

We were there. We hung out in the campground and went to Jesters viewing of his movie on Sat. Left early Sunday to hike Glastenbury. Sorry I missed out on seeing you again. Would have been awesome to say hello.

I love meeting up with "friends of past trails" at the Gatherings! Always a fun time seeing the new AT finishers right off the trail, still all excited from their big K finish with that glimmer in their eyes!! Usually some really good info on other trails as well....that gets your mind wandering to that great question of "what's next?!" And you couldn't beat this past weekends weather! Good times!

Another time, ChacoTaco! It's funny how even with a small crowd, I was barely able to catch up with just the few people I knew from before. There were a lot of people who I was able to just say a quick "hi" to, then thought I'd be able to get more time with, but... you know. I'm glad I got what info I could from the IAT guys and about the reopening of the last part of the AT in Vermont.

What a great weekend, huh? And that view from the campsite... wow!

Oh yeah, and I was at Glastenbury Monday night, too. Must have just missed you again.

Wait where and when did you go up? I saw a group going up as we were coming down. One person had a VFTT shirt on

I thought I recognized you. We passed when you guys passed the powerlines area. Awesome

Whoops! Next time I'll try harder to recognize you :) I did run into a few other people I knew on the trail near there, too. Pretty crazy.
