Another moose up close

While coming down the Georgiana Falls trail on Sunday, I had a close encounter with a young cow moose. I had noticed several scat piles along the trail so I knew moose were prevalent in the area. I was just walking along, watching my footing. I just happened to look up and there she was, staring at me. Without hurrying, I got my camera back out of my pack and started clicking off images. The light was poor but I managed a couple decent frames. She was quietly browsing and she allowed me to get within 25 feet or so of her and I probably could have gotten closer but I declined. Though small and young for a moose, she could still probably kick the crap out of me if she decided to. I don't have quite the confidence around them that forestgnome has shown. Anyway, it was still a nice way to start my morning.
