Anyone else losing toenails?

All the Time. Usually due to narrow boots- I have wide feet and it's hard to find wide boots for women that I like.

Having lost toenails myself in the past without anything coming of it, this leads me to the obvious question: Why do we have toenails? I mean, besides to bite them, of course.

And while you're at it, have that damn pinky removed too - we don't need it and most of my lost toenails were pinky nails.

it's hard to find wide boots for women that I like.

I usually try to not buy boots for the women I like... kind of creeps them out.

Nails, hooves and claws are variations on the same developmental structure. While we might not find them that useful our ancestors or an ancestral mammalian species did.
