My knee will be getting scoped out this Thursday and it has kept me off the trails for the past several months. Hence, I've had some time to kill and was inspired by the trail maintenace threads to get a better arbor saw. I picked up a Corona replacement blade for a pole saw and fashioned a nice curly maple handle for it. Feels very comfortable in my hand and should look stylish during trail maintenance. Any ideas for a scabbard?

That's some amazing woodwork, looks really nice. For a sheath, I'd go with either leather or cordura. Another option would be normal fabric with a liner of harder plastic.

My husband made me a nice sheath / scabbard out of a piece of vinyl siding. Folded with rivets or duct tape works well and is lightweight.
