I'm gonna make this trail report short, my computer is in and out, and it needs fixing....

Saturday was a perfect day to go on a hike across the upper valley and Ascutney was a great choice. Skies were deep blue and the views stretched from the Franconia Ridge to Massachusetts. We went up the Weathersfield Trail, which is an occasionally steep and fairly varied trail.

The hike itself went thru some beautiful terrain and high up, the birches are just starting to change.

Finally we checked out the view over towards the Hang Glider platform and and less popular outcrop out of the wind. I want to hike this again during peak foliage. Looking into the countryside from any of the outlooks on a clear day must be amazing.

I also visited Quechee Gorge the next day and I'll post those pics on here. I wasn't too impressed with it, though I think in higher water it might have been more interesting.
