breakfast

Thats fine its their choice but given the choice of breakfast or increasing the safety of reaching my destinantion I guess Id get up early and eat on the trail but heck thats just me.

We did ok!
Yes, there was a prediction of afternoon thunderstorms, and there will likely be the same prediction for the entire week. We kept our eyes on the skies and ears open for thunder. We left Galehead at 8 AM, we were all packed prior to breakfast, got the weather report, ate and headed out.

While we did not experience any thunderstorms, we did unfortunately get attacked by a pack of black flies on one of the thousands (?) of false Lafayette summits! Black flies = 1, hikers = 0.

Thanks to everyone for their advice.
