I never really thought of it that way, but yea, "clear in your mind but mad in your soul" is a great way to put it. Now I finally have a way to articulate my thoughts (to my therapist).

BoB, I like your's because "Johnny" looks amazingly like you... :D How'd you accomplish that? :confused: :)

One vote for BoB's for finding an avatar that's not really him but appropriately looks a lot like him!

AlpineSummit used to have great avatars. Sorry to see him off the site.

Least favorite: Frodo ;) Hands down (though Frodo, himself, is the man, despite his questionable taste :D )

I'm with you on Ed'n Lauky. I can't help but awwww every time I see Lauky's photo and it makes me want a dog even more than I already do.

Agreed!! When I first came onto this site I remember that Avatar catching my eye as really cool and clever... and wow, Rainier - this was some gnarly dude ;) Back then little did I know that the hand holding the puzzle piece could produce such thunderous beats!

This thread reminded me that it was long past time to change my avatar. The one that's there now... There's a story there. The picture was taken by WalksWithBlackFlies. It was on the summit of Dix.. about 5 years ago. Timmus was new to hiking in the adirondacks, and she was there too. First time I met her. You know what they say about first impressions? What kind of first impression do you think I made when she saw me half strip, jump on a rock with an axe.
