I'm finally back from six weeks in Switzerland! I posted the report on a Swiss site, as I believe it will be of more interest to those who know the area than to those who do not.
No photos: I dropped my camera (in my hotel, not down a steep precipice) on my second day there. Did not buy a replacement as I will soon be asking for advice for a much better camera than the one I dropped.
Should add that the "group from the States doing the Tour du Mont Blanc" that I hiked with one day was an AMC group co-led by our very own Spencer
