Re: the long distance shots in the Jon Muir movie - There were definately some shots taken a year later that did have a dog in them, I figure it was a "stand-in" dog. Oddly, I thought about that during the movie before learning that the Saraphina had died.


That was so sad, it nearly brought me to tears. They had come so far together, over such difficult terrain. He really loved Saraphina and they made a great team. When you hike with a dog you really develop a close relationship with each other.

I've never had a dog or hiked with a dog and I had tears streaming down my face.
