A wonderful day in the woods. We tried new routes up and down BKR and discovered a grown over woods road on the way up, and a very distinct one most of the way from the ridge line back down. Perfect, cool temps in the low
40's, long visibility, and of course the fern glade just below the top of BKR was it's spectacular self. Down to the High Falls leanto for a spot of lunch, down into the drainage and up on top of High Falls, picking up some nice ledges not too far below the summit.
2 of the group picked up a pair of new peaks, and 3 have been there before.
Couldn't have been a finer November hiking day, and happy to be outside on a day like yesterday.
Oh yeah, on as we neared the trailhead, adult bald eagle flying over the Neversink River right next to us - had a good look at it coming and going.

I had to think twice about that head count, then realized that one of the participants had four legs. :)
