Yaaaaaaaaaaay Becca!!!!!!!
Becca finished her Grid on Mt. Adams. The mission was nearly aborted for a second time due to another dicey weather forecast (last Saturday was rained out). She only decided to go for it that morning, despite high winds in the forecast.
We ascended through Appalacia along a few different trails that were aglow with autumn color, starting on Watson Path.
Jeremy (Rocket21) called me on the way to trailhead and he decided to make his way to Appalacia. He actually caught up to us above the Kelton Trail...
At treeline we found that the wind was indeed strong out of the northwest. We had to lean into it at times, but it wasn't too bad, and the temps were nice and warm.
Here's Becca descending Mt. Madison with Mt. Adams, her last grid peak, before her.
The moose at Star Lake, who I named Star, was hanging out near the hut. She must be well photographed by now. She's a star.
lounging long-legged ladies...
Despite appearences, Becca would never just drink out of Star Lake....nope...no way....not Becca...
Becca nearing the summit of Adams...
and there it is!!!!!!! yaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!
yaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!! congradulations Becca!!!!!!!!!!
