I'ld like to do the Belknap 12 in a day. Looking for some info on the best sequence and routing? I'm not looking to do this as a complete loop on foot, I'm open to car hopping where it may be more efficient. I found this TR and was wondering if this was the best sequence?

Edit:
Just found this Map that looks very helpfull:

Wow ambitious!!.
All in one day can be done by Leaving a car at the Whiteface Mtn. Trail head at the end of the Belknap Mtn. road.
Drive to Gunstock and climb to Rowe,Gunstock,Belknap, to Round pond and up to Klem,Rand,The two Quarries to Straightback and Major. Back to Straightback,to Anna,to Mack to Round Pond to Piper and Whiteface.
You have to back track some place but only a portion of the way back from Major.
A long day to be sure but doable but not by me.:)-). Good Luck!!!

I did the northern part of that a couple weeks ago - make sure you've bought the map from the local Gilford Library as there were a couple signs missing in various places. Some of the middle trails (around the quarries) are lightly trod. But, this time of year you should be fine.... it would be nice if you could enjoy that area as there is a lot to explore if you aren't trying to make specific times.... :)

Thanks! That's what I was looking for. Anybody know if there's any sections of this route that are hard to follow?

The route from Straightback to Anna is not as well traveled but with keeping your eye on the treadway should be enough.
Part of the West end of the Quarry trails needs new blazing but the adopter has flagged it with white tape (the trail blaze color). we will be redoing the blazind and basic work on the 25th.of may.

Thanks I'll do that.

Ever since my acchilles issue started I'm not really a trail runner anymore, but I still like to grind away at big mileage days, it has slowed me down and gave me a chance to stop and smell the roses on the way.

TwB - Do you have a ballpark idea of the mileage for the route you suggested?

No but the AMC Southern Guide has distances so that YOU can figure it out.:)
