This is an informative article on bobcats in NE, including the suggestion that the Mount Cardigan area may be a good place to see them since it is a terminus of a wildlife corridor from the Quabbin Reservoir. Right now is not the optimal diurnal sighting time, however. March (mating season) and summer (litter feeding time) are better. Bobcats are definitely in this area, which is near the northern terminus of their range. I see tracks in the winter and the 'cat itself in March and June. NH does not allow bobcat hunting :D

I just contacted the Fish and Game about a dead bobcat that was hit by a car outside my apartment in Lebanon, NH. It would be good to complete this study so they can get an actual county of how many there are in NH.

In the last 4 years I've been lucky enough to see 2 bobcats in central vermont. Before that I had never seen one. From my in depth perspective they are definitely on the increase! :)
