Moose can happen anywhere, anytime, even the first stretch of Wilderness Trail on a Saturday. As I quietly peddled, a cow appeared in the trail up ahead and looked at a group of hikers just beyond. I stopped and drew my camera as she looked at them. Then she looked my way and saw me, then stepped across the trail and into the forest...
When I reached the group of hikers they were upset, in a happy way, because they said they desperately wanted to see moose. Hope they saw one anyway.
along the Wilderness Trail inside the wilderness...
Bluebead lily...
This little fairy creature was hovering over the Bondcliff Trail. It flew like a dragonfly and I was able to get quite close to it...
the view west at treeline just below Bondcliff...
panoramic (sort of) at Bondcliff...
I asked a hiker to take my pic with my camera...everyone seems to have this pic of themselves, right? The nice hiker agreed and took a pic, then suggested the true classic pic was taken from the adjacent cliff. As he walked over, which was a kind act, I realized he had my precious camera and he was heading toward a cliff. So there I was posing for the pic while this total stranger had my binkie on the edge of a cliff. It was ok in the end.
bog laurel along the Bondcliff ridge...
view back toward Bondcliff from Mt. Bond...
