Raymond:

I think setting 7:30AM at the Upper Works trailhead is pretty safe at this point. If anything changes, I'll post it here before Friday morning.

The only thing that could change is if we decided to spot a car at the Loj so some could do this open ended... If we did that, we'd probably head out via the Avalanche Lake route, but I've never been back into Indian Pass...

Yeah, SK, we're taking up your slack!!! :) Should I carve your initials in a tree or something?? Maybe just being with the Dr. is good enough...

In a earlier reply I indicated that I was thinking about coming along. Don't look for me becouse I can't make it. :( Besides, Notre Dame is playing Michigan that day. Being a good Irish catholic boy, (well I am Irish, and my family is catholic), I can't miss it. I would be struck down on the summit by a lightning bolt and there might be some caladeral damage. Look forward to trip report. I herd there are some confusing herd paths at the top of the brook, so give a good report so I can print it out. Hope you have a great day!
As for Neil's new list. I don't think you will get many people wanting to finish on couchie or emmons. :) So this list will be hard to finish. Besides, Bubba will be the second becouse you finished with yourself on Rocky peak. :D

I finished on Emmons. Didn't the Marshall's finish there too?

Rik's right. And, so did AlG Bob!!

George made a funny about Neil though - being his second! Sorry you can't make it. BTW, you just have to let that football stuff alone... it's bad for hiking!!! ;)

So Rik - come on out and hike Marshall with us!! :D

Are the Cascade co-eds going to be there? :D

Actually, I would love to and have thought about it but I can't commit. You see my wife has only 4 peaks left for her 46 and she plans to finish 10/7 so I need to keep my weekend days open for her hikes. If she opts out or we hike on Friday then it is possible I will just show up.

Actually, Cascade Co-eds just appear on the trail. Sorta like Trail Angels. They are very easily to recognize, but sometimes difficult to keep up with!!

Rik - be great to hike together!! Show up later if not...

What four?

And bubba, If you haven't gone through Indian Pass it is spectacular, yet is to the south of the Indian Pass to Lake Colden Trail (toward UW). It can be slippery and slow, so it would probably be better saved for it's own little trip. And the weekend looks like one of the best of the summer!

Bon chance!

Bubba,

Good luck on Marshall, she's a beauty! And, if you summit before noon, look to the southwest and I'll wave to ya!

Ken :D

Hey, Ken - thanks! Hmmm, Southwest... you over getting muddy in the Santanoni's??

We should be there by noon, no problem. Look for colorful prayer flags sending you good blessings!!

Come on over to LP when you're done - of you're coming out. Should be a great day!

Nope, not that far west!

Throw a family radio in your pack & put it on channel 5 - 0, it will be worth your while! What I mean is, you'll wish you had if you summit prior to noon. I'll look for your flags! :D

I'd love to join youse guys in LP but we're having a pig roast & jam session @ my camp on Saturday afternoon & night. Stop by if you have time!

Party in LP!!

Okay - here's the deal. There are several of us hiking and several others stopping by later on in the day.

UW trailhead at 7:30am. Not sure exactly how long this is going to take, but we should be back to LP by 5-6:00PM without a problem.

A bunch of us have a house rented in LP. There's dinner planned and depending who shows, I may also order in some pizza. Let's see... oh yeah, beer and wine and any Dr. that's left

The house is #12 Hillcrest Avenue. It's located up behind the Hilton, off Saranac Avenue (Rt 86). Hillcrest in on the corner where St. Agnes Catholic Church is on one corner and the school on the other.

The house is on the right about 2-3 doors down. A brick "English Tudor" style. There's a back door off the driveway that's convenient.

If you are in the area stop in or make it a point to get there. Bring a suit and towel for the hot-tub!!

If you need a phone number, send over a PM.

Congrats to Bubba on his 46er finish on Marshall on Saturday. I'm sure he will do a full trip report but I can confirm that he made it to the top of Marshall and back on Saturday!
