[EDIT:] All this post amounts to is that I abandoned trying to describe lots of routes further south because of brush/brambles/indistinct paths. Really would have been nice to find something more directly west but nothing worked out.
I have shifted a little bit north toward the end here, because some of my friends opined that people just wouldn't be interested in my old overgrown woods roads and paths that faded in and out, or any brambles at all, which is the situation further south. So I've looked at my notes north on the final ridge and we can cross it, I think, on the descending northern ridge of Whitbeck, north past the peak, at a flat spot at 1614 feet elevation. I am at this point within about 1/2 mile or so of finishing this, so far all on good footing with easy navigation. Virtually all of it on trails, obvious paths, woods roads, and meadows (and the relatively few minutes that are not obvious, I have great hopes of improving). We're less than 300 feet above East St. [actually Mt. Washington Rd on most maps] at this point, 1/2 mile away, so this this is no big deal even if no paths; we'll just barrel down the hill!
If anyone is interested in helping out, the missing section is from the woods doad off East St. [really Mt Washington Rd] at N42 09 00.6 W73 28 40.5 to the northern descending ridge of Whitbeck in the vicinity of N42 09 05.2 W73 28 18.2. If you know about or find any actual paths anywhere near these points running anything approximating SW-NE uphill I can probably connect.
I'm not sure I'm going to be able to actually scope this out myself until mid-November. I've got to get ready for an upcoming bushwhack in the Grand Canyon (a cactus-whack, actually) coming up in a few days.
EDITED TO ADD: Instead of packing I finished this up today, at least to the point it's maybe worth sharing. I'll clean it up and post tomorrow night.
