Carrigain Access Gate open?

Does anyone know if the gate on the road to Carrigain is still open?

I was there 2 weeks ago and the Sawyer river Road is in fact closed even though the conditions weren't anywhere near bad enough to do so, Must be a calendar date someone picked and its closed until spring. Not a bad way to warm up in the beginning or relax walking out though I have to say.
