Changing Trends in Elite Peakbagging

I thought this article in today's Guardian on Alan Hinkes, 51, the first British climber to join the elite 8000m club, was interesting. He becomes the 13th in the club to scale all 14 peaks over 8000m. (More have landed on the moon, the article observes.) For some, peakbagging has gone out out, climbing new routes or mountains is in.
