Chiney Mtn, NY

Does anyone know if the road to chimney mtn is plowed. Nice little mtn to snow shoe if figure. I did goodnow last sunday and it was great. A 1000 foot climb, just enough to get your heart beating but not an all day trip. Chimney is about 900 feet and 2 hours from my house. Any other suggestions for snow shoe trips in southern adk's? I plan on do hadley in a couple weeks, the blue after that.

The parking lot for Chimney is privately owned and is a resort of sorts so it's probably plowed but I don't know for sure. You will be on your honor to pay a dollar or two to park there.

Check out Vanderwhacker Mt for a nice short snowshoe with a working firetower up top. Snowy Mt is a longer trek up "the southern High Peak."
